A Hazzard to Remember: A City That Won't Sit Still

Meet James Hazzard

James Hazzard is a private investigator in Grimmstone, a city where a routine job can take a wrong turn before the first cup of coffee. His story, A Hazzard to Remember, is an original supernatural-noir fiction project currently in development.

The City Is a Character

The challenge isn't only to tell James's story. It's to make the streets around him feel occupied. Somewhere, a bartender is opening late, a radio host is speaking to the wrong audience, and someone has lost something they cannot quite remember.

A Different Kind of Mystery

Grimmstone is a home for the lost. Its people have motives, histories, obligations, and secrets that don't begin or end when the detective enters a room. The ordinary should become unusual before it becomes truly wrong.

On the Writing Desk

The current target is a novella-length story of roughly 25,000 words. That's a development goal, not a publication date. The work continues one scene, one alleyway, and one unfortunate decision at a time.

A Word from the Laboratory

If James Hazzard ever finds a quiet evening, we will investigate immediately. Such behavior would be highly suspicious.
